How Event Planners Can Prevent Burnout

How to give yourself permission to quit and still keep going in your journey? Sounds impossible, but that's exactly what Tez Steinberg did during two solo ocean rowing expeditions. Tez completed two world-first solo ocean rowing expeditions, spending 197 days alone at sea. He's the only person to solo row from California to Hawaii without rowing experience, and he's also the only one to row solo nonstop from Hawaii to Australia. When storms hit, when equipment failed, and when he desperately wanted to be rescued, he told himself he could quit—"just not today." His expeditions are basically metaphors for what we all go through. Managing a huge event, leading a team through crisis, or just surviving a brutal week—we all have moments where we want to quit.
